Community (District) Nurses

Community/district nurses provide skilled nursing care, advice and support to patients, relatives and carers at home and in the surgery.

Community Psychiatric Nurse

Janice Boswell

Community psychiatric nurses provide skilled nursing care for psychiatric patients and for patients with emotional problems.

Health Visitors

Emma Beattie, Jane Nicholson and Gail Connel

Health visitors provide expert advice and help, particularly for families, children under five and the elderly, but their remit covers all aspects of health care, especially disease prevention.

Community Midwives

Helen McKechnie and Christine Valentine

Skilled advice on the care of pregnant women in their homes and in the surgery, both during pregnancy and in the postnatal period.

Physiotherapists

Hazel Gilroy and Murray McLennan

There is a physiotherapist available within the health centre. Appointments for the physiotherapists can be made can be made by contacting the community reception without seeing a GP.

Chiropodist

Lisa Cameron

Priority is given to those of retirement age, children under sixteen, mentally handicapped, pregnant women, nursing mothers and diabetics. Appointments for the chiropodist can be made by contacting the community reception without seeing a GP.

Drug And Alcohol Counsellor
