Community (District) Nurses
Robert Anderson, Fiona Boyd and Andrea Ladd.
Community/district nurses provide skilled nursing care, advice and
support to patients, relatives and carers at home and in the surgery.
Community Psychiatric Nurse
Gillian Frew
Community psychiatric nurses provide skilled nursing care for
psychiatric patients and for patients with emotional problems.
Health Visitors
Emma Beattie and Gail Connel
Health visitors provide expert advice and help, particularly for
families, children under five and the elderly, but their remit covers all aspects of health care, especially
disease prevention.
Community Midwives
Helen McKechnie and Christine Valentine
They provide skilled advice on the care of pregnant women in their homes and in
the surgery, both during pregnancy and in the postnatal period.
Physiotherapist
Hazel Gilroy
Hazel is available within the health centre. Appointments to see her can be made can be made by contacting the community reception without seeing a GP.
Chiropodist
Trish Tilford
Priority for this service is given to those of retirement age, children under sixteen,
the mentally handicapped, pregnant women, nursing mothers and diabetics. Appointments for the chiropodist can be made by contacting the community reception without seeing a GP.
