Welcome to Deans And Eliburn Medical Practice which is based in Carmondean Health Centre, Livingston.
We are a highly computerised practice. Our computers help a great deal in improving
and maintaining our patient care. All information on them is totally confidential
in the same way as the information in your medical records.
The practice area covers Deans, Eliburn and Carmondean. The practice has a strict boundary policy and will not accept
patients who reside outside that area.
The doctors work together in a non-limited partnership. The practice looks after
the health of its patients based on local needs and provides clinics with extended
consultation times for chronic diseases such as heart disease, diabetes and asthma.
The practice also runs a successful dermatology clinic that so far has prevented
some of our patients waiting up to 12 months for a hospital appointment. Other
services provided are an enhanced minor surgery clinic, family planning, hypertension
and a smoking cessation clinic.
The surgery has access and toilet facilities for disabled patients.
Telephone System
Our telephone system uses a single
number - 0844 477 3144 - for accepting calls into the health centre. All calls are charged at the local rate,
though calls from mobile telephones will, of course, be subject to the effective tariff.
The lines are open from 8.00am. If you do not get through immediately, please be
patient: you will be informed of how many callers are in front of you in the queue. This will enable you to make
the decision on whether to wait or try again later. Calls usually last about one minute.
The system will offer you a number of
options. These are:
Appointments
Cancellations
Prescriptions
Results
Secretaries
Emergencies
