above.
Maternity medical services are provided in partnership with
the community midwives.
Contraceptive services are provided mainly during
routine surgeries by all doctors, except for fitting intra-uterine contraceptive devices, implants and caps. This
is carried out at a separate session, which can be booked through reception.
Regular Health Checks
If you have not attended the surgery for a period of three years you
will be offered a routine health check by the practice nurse.
Foreign Travel
A full range of advice is available, including necessary
immunisations. Please ask reception for the practice travel questionnaire well in advance of your departure date,
preferably two to three months. A minimum of six weeks' notice is required for this service, failing which you will be directed to a private travel clinic.
Non-NHS Examinations
Medical examinations for special purposes, eg, HGV drivers, elderly
drivers, pre-employment, fitness to undertake sports, etc., require a special appointment so please tell the
receptionist if you are looking for one of these. A fee will be payable for these examinations in accordance with
the standard BMA rate, a copy of which is available from reception.
